Here you can buy products from Ukrainians (non-foreigners)??
Market at Kiev center ! For a tourist at Kiev a must to go there . Its something we do not know at Europe ! Many market places , many different people who do “ bussiness “ their own way ! It’s funny to walk and to see articles you never see at Europe . Have a chat with sellers , just try to speak their language and they are friendly !!
MoreIn center of Kiev you will get essence of Ukraine
Can’t be missed while in Kiev. A lively market place
Do not go to the market. The market administration does not provide protection for customers. My guest was stolen $ 2000. Three women pushed her and pulled the money out of the bag. Be careful, better cancel the visit!!!!!!
MoreWell worth a visit. A real feel of Kiev
Little cheap little expensive. Anyway another good experience :)
Great old school market for food and meat.
I think they should convert it to street food market. But not grocery market. Places like Green 13, вьетнамский привет are the best for such a location. Selling veggies and nuts is more suitable for the supermarket. I know this is a historical place. But we need to grow.
MoreLove this place! A bit pricey, but excellent quality!
As an architectural and social phenomena - please visit, also a few fast food places inside are worth trying. But I wouldn't do groceries there. The groceries prices are inflated as heck, everything is much cheaper anywhere else in town
MorePretty much everything you need. Lots of free samples all over the place. Bring cash, no credit cards accepted.
MorePani Valentine have always a fresh meat of button
Like a central market. For now it’s more a place for tourists but there is a great foodcourt inside and outside.
MoreNice market lots of good products. Have free wifi. Nice people
Like walking in to a time capsule, IV never seen so much good fresh food allso they we selling caviar and asking you to sample it .!
MoreA good place if you need something. Minus is only one, it's kinda like labyrinth, so it will take time to find what you need
MoreBought amazing salo so I’m satisfied. Be careful though, babushkas are smart and will say higher prices to tourists.
MoreCool market, could use a facelift...We didn't buy caviar but it seemed to be really well priced, can't vouch for the quality though.
MoreFood market at the very center of Kiev. Considered as place of choice (but most expensive as well) to buy the lard, essential part of indigenous cuisine. The best part is from pig's belly, so called "general's lard", joking on bribable army's officials by comparing ones to pigs.
MoreThere’s some nice non Ukrainian food outlets here but it’s mostly local produce on sale. Great place to purchase some caviar. #BeatTheGrind
MoreKind of crowded, however there are a big amount of choices where to go for a brunch
MoreCentral market of spices, meats, fruit (fresh and dried) and vegetables. Lots of caviar too! Prices are excellent for tourists, not sure how affordable they are for locals. Quite compact but a great place to visit if you're a foodie.
MoreIf you want a taste of what means special tariff just try with a local the following exercice on this market. You come separately, you ask from your in English how much cost this x item. Then, your friend will do the same later but of course in local language. Strange how the price can go down so quickly :)
Moreif you are looking for something prime, or something fresh, this is the place to be, other wise avoid as the price doesnt justify it, even for foreigner.
MoreBessarabsky Market - the market has great variety of food, products as meat, vegetables, fruits, nuts and drinks. There you can find food prepared according local tradition as for example salted pork fat and curd pies. Be aware, that the price for these tasty things can be higher twice for tourist which will be find out by sellers immediately when you enter the market.
Moreif you want to see a bit of the daily way of living of Kiev is a good place for that. you can see all the different products they sell, how is the presentation of them... a real Kiev place
MoreGreat vegan options inside the market
We expected bigger variety of products. It is mainly fresh groceries
Awesome market. Great produce, some at unbelievable prices. Spices and caviar to take back to the UK
MoreSort of like the "Pike's Place" market in Seattle, if it was transported to Ukraine. Lots of fish and such.
MoreThe place for tourists only or entertainment. Nothing more nothing less... All the best
MoreGo to see essence of historical vegetable market in center of Kiev
Lots of caviar! Nice market, difficult to find the entry. A very nice woman washed my tomato before giving it to me, and she added salt, because she imagined I wanted to eat it straight away.
MoreMany healthy and authentic food. Historical building. A lot of cafe and restaurant near.
MoreNice place... There is not so many options to do there...
More known with the street food spots inside the market. I recommend them for people who like Vietnamese and vegan (also healthy) kitchen. Fast and delicious meals in a 10 minutes time. Also the market full of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and nuts.
MoreIt's so cool to find such a market in a city centre. Some products are more expensive because of the location, but its logical. Great place to buy some veggies, dry fruits or meat.Nevertheless its small on a first look, it seems much bigger from inside.
MoreWell cool architecturL symbol it is in a very busy area parking here on street is a big challenge i am a huge meat lover. One of the locals said me that they sell very exotic meats here. And when i visited was not at all suprised i bought meat of rabbit and deer and horse the quality was so superb fresh and healthy. Groceries are way to expensive would prefer to buy to local stores than here but this place has a junk of stuff you wont find so easily elsewhere
MoreI would rate it 4 of 5 since it's an outstandingly expensive market. You better go to Le Silpo across the road if you want to do food shopping.I would only recommend the market as a place for fast food stalls, their pricing is fair.
MoreGood meat price.
Presume its easier for the locals to find. Found it at closing time. Had a peak in from the door. Food only sold here. Fancy some caviar?
MoreToo old-fashioned. Need full rebuilt
Critically interesting place to visit. USSR meets modern times
Here you can taste the most awesome snails 🐌 from ukrainian company UlitkaBar. Dish serves on cute ceramic plate 🍽 with a wood board.
MoreNice presentation of all sorts of products along with outstanding quality meats and sea products. A must see in the city!
MoreExpensive, yet tasty market. Tried some milk products - ряженка, сливки. Amazing. Сало - unbelievably good.
MoreAs I had been told from local that this market is a bit pricey. I honestly bought some, and I can see the price is ok. The fruit fresh and great
MoreDon’t consider it as a place to do grocery of food shopping, rather see it as a tourist attraction. The way it is organized is pretty much the same as it was years and years ago. Overpriced significantly. If you decided to buy something, then bargain: easy can do 30% off the asked price (prices are usually not written, but is announced once you express interest for something). And, if you decide to buy there something, then take cash to pay.
MoreVery interesting market. You can find variety of foods. There is a great donut shop there, that must be tasted and you can find pickles, fish, meat, bake goods, cheese, fruits, vegetables, even craft beer. Awesome.
MoreWe used to call this place the fruit museum because people only come to look at the over priced produce. Most expensive fruit you'll ever see, served up with a bad attitude. In the center of a busy, crowded capital city, yet always empty.
